These high performance batteries support high levels of charge and discharge, allowing Mitch to quickly charge off the 400 Mercury Engine in the boat, and easily handle the high current draw of a 36V appliance like his Minn Kota trolling motor
This incredible device allows Mitch to convert 12V to 36V, meaning that he can run his Minn Kota trolling motor all day off the 12V system.
This setup gives Mitch the ability to maximise the charge going back into the batteries, the ability to use solar to keep batteries topped up (not that he has needed to roll out the blanket yet), and the ability to monitor the state of the batteries and his power usage.
