This system runs the trolling motor via a voltage converter for 24v and 36v electric motors, so manufacturer warranties aren’t affected and also provides the most stable form of power to the trolling motor. The bonus is that you essentially get a house bank for free to run your electronics, fridges and other 12v gear.
Adam from Outer Line Adventures (fishing enthusiast/Youtuber), John Haenke (professional fishing guide), Luke Fallon (professional fishing guide) and the Garmin boats are a few of the many users, who endorse our solution. After using dedicated 24v/36v batteries or linking 12v Lithium/AGM batteries in series, they found the use of a voltage converter to be the best and most versatile solution for battery longevity.
In larger vessels, the batteries run, gyro stabilizers, induction cook tops, microwaves, air conditioners, ice makers, etc….. The lighter weight, quicker recharge and constant voltage over traditional batteries are a few of the many advantages of Lithium batteries.
Key Points:
- Ability to run 12v gear, i.e. marine electronics, fridges, inverter, etc…. off “house bank” and then use converter to power the trolling motor
- Ability to add another 12v battery if more capacity/trolling motor run time is required
- Ability to re-charge via dc-dc, when engine is running
- Ability to link 12v start battery with 12v lithium house bank to transfer power to crank battery in the event of a battery failure
- Ability to run off converter, not battery, which ensures manufacturers cannot void warranties
- Ability to use in other applications, if/when boat is sold
